ABOUT THE CONFERENCE VENUE
The Conference will be held in the Westin Galleria Hotel, located in The Galleria complex, a glass enclosed entertainment/shopping center with over 350 retail stores in the heart of uptown Houston. Houston, Texas is America's fourth largest city and is also the capital of the international energy industry, the largest international port in North America, and the headquarters for America's Mann Space Flight Effort. Houston is also home of the world's largest medical center--a burgeoning Mecca of multicultural arts which also defines the colorful nature of this city.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Houston boasts two major international airports: Houston Intercontinental and Hobby. Houston Intercontinental Airport is the eighth largest airport system in the United States for international travel. It has three modern terminals connected by a state-of-the-art subway system. Hobby Airport offers full US and regional service with easy access to all parts of the city.
Travel is very convenient, with many non-stop flights and easy connections from other major cities, as Houston is a hub for many airlines. ICNN attendees will find that flexible flight schedules and low fares await them in Houston. For special discounted rates, contact Nationwide Travel at (714) 847-1788. Round trip shuttle bus service to both airports is available through Airport Express, which provides passenger pick-up and drop-off at both the Westin Galleria and The Westin Oaks Hotels. The cost of a one-way fare to Houston Intercontinental Airport is $16.00, and the airport is approximately 25 miles from the Galleria area. A flat rate taxi fare is $35.00 each way to Houston Intercontinental Airport. Approximate travel time is one hour.
The one-way shuttle bus fare to Hobby Airport is $11.00. Hobby Airport is approximately 20 miles from the Galleria area and taxi fare is $26.00 each way. Approximate travel time is 45 minutes.
Service to both airports funs every hour on the hour, from 5:30am to 7pm from the hotel. Reservations are required only for your return trip to the airport from the hotel.
